Seeking hands-on artists at Kent Kids' Arts Day.

Kent Kids' Arts Day will celebrate 38 years of doing art for kids on Saturday, March 8, 2025.  The Kent Arts Commission is seeking over 15 artists to lead a hands-on project for approximately 500 kids age preschool to fourth grade.  Compensation is available for artistic fees and supplies.  Deadline is February 7, 2025.

Give Me Culture Grants 

The City of Kent Arts Commission’s “Give Me Culture” program offers small, flexible grants to individuals, organizations and community groups for arts and culture projects and events that serve the public in Kent. Awards are intended to broaden participation in, and showcasing of, arts and culture activities, especially by ethnically diverse or under-served communities. 

-$1,000 award maximum 

-No deadline: Applications will be reviewed as they are received, year-round (must be received at least three months before the start of the project or event date) SteelMagicNW17

GIVE ME CULTURE EVALUATION


 Funding available through 2025 Community Arts Support Program
 Rainier Youth Choirs_2024_3

The City of Kent Arts Commission will continue to make funding available to support area arts programming through its Community Arts Support Program. The program is designed to encourage, develop, and support high quality community arts programming that serves the public in the Kent area. 

Eligible applicants include arts and cultural organizations of all sizes, including professional and community-based groups; independent artists; and community groups involved in arts activities. Proposed projects must take place in Kent or the Kent School District service area and must serve and be accessible to the residents of Kent. The Kent Arts Commission will review requests and applicants who are approved for funding will be required to enter a contract for services.

Applications must be submitted online by Friday, October 18, 2024 at 5 p.m.
