Reach Kent Parks

Standard Park and Open Space Rules

Parks are open daily from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted or authorized by the City of Kent.

  • Smoking, Vaping, and Tobacco use of any kind is prohibited.
  • Alcoholic beverages and cannabis are prohibited.
  • Dogs and/or domestic animals must be kept on a leash no greater than 8 feet.
  • Cutting, picking or destruction of plant life is prohibited.
  • Removal of any City property is prohibited.
  • Parking is allowed in designated areas only. No parking after closing time.
  • Unauthorized possession of firearms or weapons is prohibited.
  • Household and/or commercial garbage dumping is prohibited.
  • Horseback riding prohibited except in designated areas.
  • Keep all vehicles on roadways. No off-roading allowed.
  • Use BBQ grills only. Open fires are not allowed.
  • All fireworks are prohibited.
  • Golfing is prohibited.
  • Hunting and trapping are prohibited.
  • No camping or overnight use.

Lifeguards

  • There will be NO lifeguards on duty at Lake Meridian Park for the 2022 season.

Park Shelters

  • Shelters are available for rent from May 1 - September 30. Visit KentWA.gov/ParkRentals for more information.

Special Park Rules

All Standard Park Rules apply.

  • Park shelters are available for rent.
  • "Drop-in" groups or events must vacate park shelters for park users who have paid for a reservation.
