Parks are open daily from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted or authorized by the City of Kent.

Smoking, Vaping, and Tobacco use of any kind is prohibited.
Alcoholic beverages and cannabis are prohibited.
Dogs and/or domestic animals must be kept on a leash no greater than 8 feet.
Cutting, picking or destruction of plant life is prohibited.
Removal of any City property is prohibited.
Parking is allowed in designated areas only. No parking after closing time.
Unauthorized possession of firearms or weapons is prohibited.
Household and/or commercial garbage dumping is prohibited.
Horseback riding prohibited except in designated areas.
Keep all vehicles on roadways. No off-roading allowed.
Use BBQ grills only. Open fires are not allowed.
All fireworks are prohibited.
Golfing is prohibited.
Hunting and trapping are prohibited.
No camping or overnight use.

Lifeguards

There will be NO lifeguards on duty at Lake Meridian Park for the 2022 season.

Park Shelters

Shelters are available for rent from May 1 - September 30. Visit KentWA.gov/ParkRentals for more information.

All Standard Park Rules apply.

The Park is open year-round from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted or authorized by the City.

No dogs are allowed on the beach, in the water, or on the dock.
No running or pushing on the dock.
All children six years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
All floating swim aids (floats, air mattresses, etc.) must be confined to the shallow area.
Swimming is allowed in designated areas only.

Lake Meridian Boating Rules

Exhaust must be muffled or underwater.
No reckless and/or negligent operation.
No remote-controlled watercrafts allowed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
All vessels operating after sundown must have running lights on.

Personal Watercraft (Jet Skis, Ski Doos, etc.)

May operate 0-8 MPH any day except during hours of darkness.
Maximum speed is 8 MPH from September 16th through May 15th.
May operate 8-35 MPH ONLY between the hours of 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m. on EVEN numbered days of the calendar from May 16th through September 15th.

All Other Vessels (except Personal Watercraft)

Must adhere to all posted rules and regulations for vessels.
May access the lake daily.
May operate 8-35 MPH between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
May not exceed the posted speed limit of 8 MPH between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.
When exceeding 8 MPH, vessel must be 200 feet from shore and 100 feet from other vessels and swimmers.
When exceeding 8 MPH, vessels must travel in counterclockwise direction only.

Waterskiing

Waterskiing is defined as being towed behind a vessel in any manner.

Permitted daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at speeds from 8-35 MPH.
Must adhere to all posted rules and regulations for waterskiing.

All violations are subject to prosecution pursuant to Kent City Code Chapter 406.

Old Fishing Hole

Town Square Plaza

All Standard Park Rules apply.

Enjoy the water features safely.
Respect other fountain plaza users.
Do not put any items in the fountains (ex. soil, trash, glass, pets, soap).
If restroom door is locked, it is in use. Please be patient.
No skateboards or bicycles allowed in plaza.
Plaza and restrooms are open from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted.
- Summer Hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Wilson Playfields

All Standard Park Rules apply.

Drop-in users must vacate entire field for reserved users.

No Sunflower seeds.
Tennis shoes and rubber-molded cleats are allowed. Metal cleats, spikes, and high heeled shoes are prohibited.
No hitting/kicking into fences with baseballs/softballs/soccer balls.
Climbing on fences is strictly prohibited.
