Interviews & Other Selection Processes

Depending on the position, we may conduct interviews by phone, video conference and/or in person. In-person interviews may be one-on-one or with a panel of multiple individuals. Written tests, practical examinations, and second interviews may also be scheduled as a part of some recruitment processes. We will share as many details as possible with candidates in advance, so you know what to expect and how to prepare.

Job Offer & Pre-Employment

Reference checks are conducted for most of our positions. The hiring manager decides whom to offer the job and will typically reach out directly with a verbal offer. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any additional questions you may have before accepting the offer. Once you have had a chance to review and accept a written offer of employment, the City will begin pre-employment screening, which can contain different processes related to the type of position being filled.
