Paul Rucker
As a composer of contemporary music, I find support in anything or anyone that goes against the norm. Creating music inspired by the Earthworks will be a natural progression, influenced by a work of art that still can be described as progressive and challenging.

With an emphasis on musical composition, Paul Rucker is an interdisciplinary artist: cellist, bassist, composer, visual artist. He leads various ensembles including the "Paul Rucker LARGE ENSEMBLE". Rucker has released 2 highly acclaimed CDs, History of an Apology, and Oil which was nominated for Jazz CD of the Year in 2004 by Earshot Jazz. Rucker won Best Emerging Artist of 2004 from Earshot, and Jazz Artist of the Year 2005 from the Seattle Music Awards. Rucker also creates interactive sound installations, and he has received numerous grants for visual art and music.
