State law provides that all correspondence sent to elected officials (including email) is public record. Any correspondence sent to the City Council will be disclosed to any person who requests it, unless exempt from disclosure under state law. 

 

Deborah Ranniger, Ph.D., is serving her third term and is chair of the Parks and Human Services committee.  Deborah is also a member of the Economic and Community Development committee and Kent's Human Services Commission.

 

Dr. Ranniger's past civic involvement includes serving on the City of Kent's Land Use and Planning Board, Drinking Driver Task Force and as a Kent Chamber of Commerce board member from 1999-2002. While serving on the Chamber Board, Dr. Ranniger chaired the Chamber's Education Committee.  She is currently Executive Director of Resource Development for Clover Park Technical College.

 

Dr. Ranniger holds a doctorate in Speech Communication from the University of Washington.  She loves to dance, garden, swim and spend time with her family.
