Roberto the Magnificent rides very tall unicycles; bounces on industrial strength pogo sticks; and juggles sharp knives, flaming torches, and spinning hand saws – all while keeping audiences in fits of giggles.

This ten-piece band from Houston, Texas is redefining the sound of Gulf Coast Soul, intertwining elements of Classic American Soul with Rock & Roll. Both sonically and visually arresting, the ensemble features talented rhythm and horn sections that provide the perfect foundation for singer Kam Franklin's massive voice.

Based in Seattle, JP Hennessy is an Irish recording artist taking strong influence from blues, soul and rock & roll. JP began playing guitar at the age of 15. He studied Music at the University of West London before performing with Irish rock band, the VooDoos. Now pursuing his solo career, JP has a fanbase that stretches from Seattle right back to his homeland.

The Not-Its! 

This Seattle “Kindie Rock” quintet will have children and their parents on their feet rocking out to power-packed songs about bugs, haircuts, reading, the 80’s and more. The Not-Its! are Sarah Shannon (former singer of 90’s Sub Pop band Velocity Girl), Danny Adamson (rhythm guitar), Tom Baisden (lead guitar), Jennie Helman (bass player) and Michael Welke (former drummer of Harvey Danger).

Summer concerts are FREE. Donations of any amount are accepted on site the day of the performance. Your generosity helps us continue to offer free, quality performances to all Kent residents. 

Seating

All seating is unassigned, lawn seating and first come, first serve.  Visitors may bring their own chairs or blankets.

Please let us know in advance how we may be able to help and we will provide reasonable accommodations to those needing special assistance.   

A Note to Parents and Guardians 

The Kent Summer Concert Series is family friendly and offers some performances that are especially for kids and families. 

Shuttle Bus Service for Thursday at the Lake Concerts

Free and convenient! Offsite parking is available at Kent Fire Station #75, 15635 SE 272nd Street, just east of Lake Meridian. The shuttle bus runs non-stop between 6:30-9pm, arriving at Lake Meridian about every 15 minutes.
