Sound Transit is making big changes in Kent. You are asked to participate in planning for new Light Rail, Express Bus and Commuter Rail investments in Kent. Please take one of these opportunities to join the discussion.
Light Rail
Sound Transit is seeking public input on alternatives to provide high capacity transit from SeaTac to Federal Way. This is your first opportunity to be involved in this project. Open House events are scheduled for November 8th and 13th.

Express Bus Changes
Sound Transit considers adding a new Express Bus route between Kent and downtown Bellevue and the Overlake Transit Center. The proposed Route 567 would operate nonstop between Kent and Bellevue using the I-405 HOV lanes. Eight trips would operate northbound in the morning and eight trips would operate southbound in the afternoon with schedules coordinated to the Sounder Trains at Kent Station.
Commuter Rail Changes
Another train too! Sound Transit is also planning to add a new round trip on the Sounder South Line between Lakewood and Seattle in the Fall of 2013. The new round trip would provide more convenient schedules from Lakewood and South Tacoma stations allowing customers to travel from these stations later in the morning and return earlier in the afternoon. The new round trip will change the existing Sounder schedule and also require adjustments to connecting bus routes.
