February 2011 | The Department of Ecology has issued an update regarding the Asarco settlement and cleanup plans.

In 2009, the State of Washington received a settlement from Asarco for environmental damage from its mining and smelting operations in Ruston. To view the update and learn more about what the Department of Ecology is doing, visit the Dirt Alert webpage.
