W. Smith and Interurban Trail

Amenities include skate ramps/bowl/rails, drinking fountain and public art.  The park is located on land leased from Union Pacific Railroad and Puget Sound Energy. In June 1995, a Skate Park Development Team was formed with City Council approval to research the feasibility of a downtown skate park.  The team consisted of 15 teens and two Parks staff.  The park was dedicated and open for public use in 1996.  A mural was completed in summer 2011 by local artist Lee Schlosser, volunteers and city staff similar to the one at West Hill Skate Park in 2010.
