Bicycle Advisory Board

Rolling and Strolling on Trail

The City of Kent is committed to increasing the safety and efficiency of its non-motorized transportation system. Kent is home to a variety of great recreational trails as well as parks and natural areas. Like most modern cities, however, it has often developed with a transportation network that doesn't encourage cyclists. In addition to current development, the city's streetscape frequently works against a safe and convenient system. In 1991, the Kent City Council adopted Resolution 1298, creating the Kent Bicycle Advisory Board. Members of the Board are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council and work with Council and staff to promote non-motorized travel.

We've collected the following information and links to help riders, would-be riders, and other citizens interested in alternative transportation. There are many great sites you can check out, and we've shown some of their home pages below - as well as some topic links from their sites to help you find information quickly.
